Amanda & Michael’s Echo Lake Engagement Session

Amanda & Michael are getting married this July! They wanted to do their engagement session as soon as possible so they could use the photos for their save-the-dates. We scheduled their session in December and they wanted beautiful snowy, mountain portraits! I knew an Echo Lake engagement session would be the perfect option for them, it is a beautiful blend of mountain views and snowy dreaminess while still being easily accessible in the winter.

Photographing in the mountains during the winter is definitely a fun challenge! We started the session super early at 2:30 to get the best light before it disappeared behind the mountains. But the amazing thing about snowy landscapes like this? It makes everything just gorgeous! This session was such a winter wonderland and I was loving it.

The couple wanted to bring their adorable pup along for the ride to be in some of their photos. Isn’t Amelia just the cutest thing? We made sure to take a bunch of photos with and without her so Amanda & Michael would have plenty to choose from!
